Creative blend of a personal story and the author's take on the history of religion. Pretty accurate, I think. And, it raised a question I have asked, Why the Bible, a story about Jews who killed a Jew, is so revered by Christians? Anyway, the blend of these two ideas brought the author to an additional tutorial on the history of Hollywood. So, three themes brought together and wrapped up nicely in a never-dull performance. Well done....

In retrospect, it's possible that the best moment of Jesus Ride came before the theater doors opened. The "opening prayer"... Who's on First? says not all of it, but a lot of it. The religion of art and humor is the driving force of this piece. I was fascinated by the question of voice... is this the actor speaking biographically or as a performer? Is this documentary or fiction? No matter what it was, it made a great play, an inspiring enquiry into a major genre (jesus pictures) who-knew existed, and the bizarre relationship of the men who made Hollywood to culture, religion and money. A wonderful, provocative evening. It made me smile. ...
