My overall impression

Rodeo Town is a well written and directed addition to live theater. The mystery and intrigue throughout the entire play left the audience itching to figure out what would happen next. The story was easy to follow yet it held many details. No dialogue was useless. It was all absolutely integral to the play. The actors fit their roles precisely and the few props used were well utilized in each scene. Such a small theater gives the audience a chance to journey along with the “new guy in town” and feel what the characters feel in a unique way. Rodeo Town made a bold statement with its controversial brief content, however I believe this was an accurate portrayal of the depravity of the human heart. One must not approach this play with a light heart, I believe, but one that is ready to see humanity as it really is.
