My overall impression
Lemon Boots is a show that challenges its audience. The ensemble challenges the audience to participate, to question their dependence on technology, and to create their own story and their own meaning.
If you are a person who depends upon structure and formula, you might have trouble with this piece. Enter the theatre with an open mind and a willingness to participate, and you’ll have a great time! Why even come to the theatre if you don’t want to play? It’s difficult to not be engaged by the gorgeous images, badass music, and passionate performances.
