So I saw this show twice. The first time I loved. The second time, I went high, and IT BLEW MY MIND. You should definitely see this.... full review

I thoroughly enjoyed the ride that I was taken on by the athletic and passionate cast of Lemon Boots. Each vignette had a strong and unique emotional tone to it and the physical storytelling throughout the entire piece was funny, moving, exciting, wondrous, and more. I loved how the audience was invited to be a part of the show and was reminded throughout the piece that anything could happen to them as participants which made me feel a sense of engagement that was different from most shows I see. The most gratifying aspect of this show was feeling the palpable connection between the ensemble. As they climbed, locked, and bent together they created vibrant worlds where everything (a rocking chair, a bed cover, a mountain) had personality and ... full review

Such a fun and entertaining show. It was nice to be taken on a journey as opposed to just handed a plot.... full review

There was a lot of joy and energy in this production. It's exciting to see a group of young artists throw themselves into a physical piece of theater. They had an excellent sense of stage picture and lighting and some evocative images were created. The piece would have had more impact for me if more attention had been paid to context and story; I often wanted to understand what their images were communicating but was only able to guess. To be fair, perhaps their intention was a more amorphous/open-to-interpretation sort of storytelling. If that's the case, then they achieved their goal, though it was less impactful for me personally. I really appreciated and enjoyed the clear care and attention that went into this piece. It feels lov... full review

An enjoyable, atmospheric hour in the theatre. I've been told i am "plot addicted", so this is not really my thing. LEMON BOOTS is primarily a dance piece with no concrete plot that i could discern, but there was lovely imagery and some sections (about isolation and "other"ness - i think) worked very well. Their use of technology was excellent, especially for Fringe. There is some limited audience participation, performers moving through the rows, etc. But getting everyone onstage to "dance" at the end feels forced and unearned. (imean, it's great and powerfully cathartic in HAIR - but even there they don't make you do it, you just want to.) There are a lot of talented young performers in this, and it looks like it was a great experienc... full review

Lemon Boots is a show that challenges its audience. The ensemble challenges the audience to participate, to question their dependence on technology, and to create their own story and their own meaning. If you are a person who depends upon structure and formula, you might have trouble with this piece. Enter the theatre with an open mind and a willingness to participate, and you'll have a great time! Why even come to the theatre if you don't want to play? It's difficult to not be engaged by the gorgeous images, badass music, and passionate performances. ... full review

I really enjoyed this piece of art. I don't understand these reviews about getting yelled at, and pulled onstage. As a fellow actor, I enjoyed being involved in the show, and getting pulled onstage. It was a fun evening, and a great show!... full review

Lemon Boots is a fun show and lets everyone in the audience know that the beauty of a work of art is the act of making it. It is not a linear story line, or a traditional movement piece, but it is more a celebration of the ensemble and that is wherein it derives it's greatest joy.... full review

I saw three shows this year, and though it's sometimes hard to compare, especially in different genres, I think this one was my favorite. It was refreshing to see a good number of the actors so physically and emotionally invested in it.... full review
