In the American medical system, whose responsibility is it to ensure a patient’s needs are met?
MY WOMB, presented at last year’s Hollywood Fringe, focused on a mother’s heroic journey through the medical sector as she fought to save her life. WOMB pas de deux widens the lens to explore the disconnection between patients and medical staff from the varying perspectives of those involved in the dance of American health care. In this patient/provider duet, we bring context to conflict, aiming to bridge the divide between healthcare workers and those seeking medical attention through original music, movement, sock puppetry + Brechtian flair.
