A ship navigated by children in purgatory, a sanctuary for parents who lost their children due to murder, “Sunken” is a spliced-together observation that travels between these two worlds and investigate the profoundness of grief, the vileness of jealousy, and the grace behind loss and death, every flaw that makes us beautiful humans.

“Sunken” consists of a cast of eight characters, 4 children and their corresponding parents. Through episodic story-telling, the narrative jumps between the two groups and draws a shocking parallel of events and emotions that take place. This play also aims to achieve a realistic portrayal of the gravity of a grieving process, where the audience sees both the parents and the children stumble through self-destruction, childish experimentation and vicious accusations in order to find the answers they desperately seek.
