Snack

Megan Dolan gives a completely entertaining and endearing performance using such a clever device to move us in time through her story - snacks! I think it is so relatable to associate "favorite foods" and special songs with impactful moments in your life, either as a part of the moment or as relief from that moment and Dolan did this beautifully. Very, very clever writing and a stellar performance! Cheers!... full review

Dead Dog's Bone was poignant, charming, creative and FUN! Fringe can be so challenging when you are bring art to life, but this cast and crew boldly created a way to tell their story with creativity and play. The performances were so good and the direction was fresh and inspired. Delightful.... full review

Dear Hollywood: A modern day actress from a bygone era

We see a charming "flash back" to how we all imagine Old Hollywood was, set against the rough edges of Hollywood today with clever writing, vivid characterization and a heap of comedy. Julisa Wright has a wonderful way of telling both stories and still leaving us cheering for her protagonist - believing that she will, indeed, find her way to stardom, somehow. Cheers, Julisa!... full review

Shakespeare's Last Night Out (or What? YOU, Will??)

I'm nearly at a loss for words attempting to write a review that would do justice to Michael Shaw Fisher's stunning performance... and then, to remind myself he WROTE THIS, TOO! This is an inspired piece that I can imagine The Bard himself would have LOVED - smart, clever, informed, emotional, playful. This is just an extraordinary piece of theater and I am in awe of Michael and his talent. Bravo, good sir! ... full review

Cold Fusion

COLD FUSION was interesting and engaging from the moment the lights went up - thanks in large part to great performances and chemistry between David Shea Henne and David Harper. To have such a complex plot come to life and to a satisfying conclusion in under an hour is an impressive accomplishment! Kudos to the entire cast and crew for a wonderful performance!... full review

You MUST see this show! I've not been moved like this by a piece of musical theater since I saw 'Wicked'. This is not an exaggeration. The Sam & Tony Show have created something truly magical here. The music is breathtaking and the story will captivate your heart. Don't miss this one!... full review

STUPID SONGS!!

This show is so much stupid fun, I could see it again and again and again! The musical numbers are original, timely and hilarious. I'm astounded by the creativity and variety of songs created by this cast. And the CAST - make no mistake, these are serious performers with some serious skills! Bravo!... full review

The 7th Annual One-Man Show World Championships

heather dowling · June 22, 2015 certified reviewer
This is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen on stage - not just in Fringe, ANYWHERE! I would have to call this "inspired hilarity" - poking ruthless fun at solo-performance but at the SAME time acknowledging the passion, the creativity and the fun of it! As a solo-performer myself, there were many laughs of recognition - but, honestly, there was no way I could not laugh given the sharp and brilliant writing and perfectly timed comedic performances on that stage. CHEERS to the cast and crew f... full review

The Devil You Say

I really didn't have any idea what to expect from "a one act puppet soliloquy..." but what I got was one of the most captivating evenings of storytelling I've ever seen! Puppeteer, Robin Walsh, brings The Devil to life with such precision you become mesmerized by "his" performance. And Kila Packett, The Voice, wove such a rich and powerful tale with his lovely timbre. I found myself hanging on every word, for every moment. The selected writings for this show were riveting, and completely engaging... full review

The Count of Monte Cristo: The Musical

If this is the "abridged version," (according to creator, Kelly D'Angelo) I CAN'T WAIT to see the entire thing, Kelly! This classic story came to life beautifully - even with the restrictions of space and time! And I LOVED the music, Matt Dahan! It was perfectly matched in mood and tone to tell this story! What you two have created is just wonderful - and KUDOS to your performers! There was some SERIOUS talent on that stage. Bravo!... full review
