Alien Vs. Musical

Even as I start to write this, I'm chuckling to myself. I keep thinking about what I want to say - without spoiling the delight for anyone else! Here's what I can say. This is AWESOME! The storyline is so clever to begin with....then you add in PERFECT musical accompaniment and song lyrics that tell the story in true musical theatre style - with humor and irreverence! The choreography - including the INCREDIBLE puppetry - was perfectly suited to the style and comedy of the story. And the PUPPETS!... full review

Fish Out Of Whiskey:A Lawyer Who Just Wants You Off His Case

In the program for Fish Out of Whiskey, Wade Skalsky's bio says he "is not an actor. He does not have a headshot, an IMDB page, or any kind of reel." Lucky for us, what he does have is a GREAT sense of humor and natural instincts for comedic timing - and any "real" actor will tell you, those are GOLD! Wade tells a story that is funny, engaging and perfectly self-deprecating. He may not be an actor, but he is a gifted story-teller who should keep finding ways to bring his quick wit to life!... full review

The Inside Edge of the World

Michael Evans Lopez is an amazing performer. He is able to subtly engage and shift characterization to tell a complex, bizarre - and quite often charming - story directed very, very well by Maria Pasquarelli. I was fascinated to see where the story would take me, and surprised...and sometimes confused...but I was glad to be on the ride. For me, the storyline with the dog and the neighbor were the most engaging. I could see Danny and Buddy on all kinds of adventures together! Great work!... full review

Charles Marina - how did you find a way to make me laugh about war? And not just 1 war - 3 wars! This is one of the most powerful and fascinating solo-shows I've ever seen - with moments of divine comedy. Charles' has incredible comedic timing that is paired with energy and passion that are captivating. And then, the end....so profound, truly moving...even motivating! Kudos, Charles!... full review

Snack

Megan Dolan gives a completely entertaining and endearing performance using such a clever device to move us in time through her story - snacks! I think it is so relatable to associate "favorite foods" and special songs with impactful moments in your life, either as a part of the moment or as relief from that moment and Dolan did this beautifully. Very, very clever writing and a stellar performance! Cheers!... full review

Dear Hollywood: A modern day actress from a bygone era

We see a charming "flash back" to how we all imagine Old Hollywood was, set against the rough edges of Hollywood today with clever writing, vivid characterization and a heap of comedy. Julisa Wright has a wonderful way of telling both stories and still leaving us cheering for her protagonist - believing that she will, indeed, find her way to stardom, somehow. Cheers, Julisa!... full review

Shakespeare's Last Night Out (or What? YOU, Will??)

I'm nearly at a loss for words attempting to write a review that would do justice to Michael Shaw Fisher's stunning performance... and then, to remind myself he WROTE THIS, TOO! This is an inspired piece that I can imagine The Bard himself would have LOVED - smart, clever, informed, emotional, playful. This is just an extraordinary piece of theater and I am in awe of Michael and his talent. Bravo, good sir! ... full review

Cold Fusion

COLD FUSION was interesting and engaging from the moment the lights went up - thanks in large part to great performances and chemistry between David Shea Henne and David Harper. To have such a complex plot come to life and to a satisfying conclusion in under an hour is an impressive accomplishment! Kudos to the entire cast and crew for a wonderful performance!... full review

You MUST see this show! I've not been moved like this by a piece of musical theater since I saw 'Wicked'. This is not an exaggeration. The Sam & Tony Show have created something truly magical here. The music is breathtaking and the story will captivate your heart. Don't miss this one!... full review
