STUPID SONGS!!

damien luvara · June 16, 2015 certified reviewer
Damn you all to hell. This show is out of control. It really does have it all. The music is terrific. Every song is well crafted and smart. Luckily they aren't relied upon to be the star of the show, because every performer in this show has chops! What makes this cast special is that along with their terrific voices, they all display an incredible grasp of comedic timing. They are hitting punchlines and puns mid belt and it's hilarious. Some songs are more entertaing than others, but that... full review

I Died...I Came Back...Whatever.

I laughed, I left ...reviewing. This show is a slow burn with great pay off. I say slow burn, because for me it always takes a while to start building the world in my head that a solo performer is building onstage. Call it the ADHD call it just being a lazy audience member just don't call it Cyanne's fault. But cause I've never seen a dead person work harder. From the moment she flat lines, Cyanne is off and running. Showing us her chops and incomperable range in this one woman show of for... full review

Late with Lance!

The night I went to see Lance I was selected to be his co-host! At first I thought it was becasuse he recognized me from my star turn in the award winning comedy "Boss:The Untold Tony Danza Story" (www.hff15.org/2435) but then when I finally got on stage and looked into his eyes, it became obvious there was no familiarity there. Like when you go to the zoo and you look at the chimps in the pen, you always expect them to recognize you as a distant relative. Chimps however don't see evolution the... full review

No Ex'p Required...

Ever walked through Manhattan after smoking a joint? Ever ridden on a train, in the winter with a Christmas tree? Those things are difficult but not as difficult as the choices these characters have to make. The show was well executed. Each actor committing fully to their characters. The relationships amoung the ensemble are all believable. The temptation for the actors would be to lean towards the heavy handed and it was refreshing to see that none of them did. Every actor played their mom... full review

Coffee Tea or Me

This show is a poignant, entertaining and heart felt piece of theatre. It is a perfectly balanced production from start to finish. Between the writing and the performance it's hard to tell who the star of the show is. Both performers show us who they are while simultaneously keeping enough distance so as not to be gratuitous. They have somehow figured out a way to tell their story that will inevitably lead you to start exploring your own. The show is at times sad, uplifting or contemplative bu... full review

This show is a powerhouse! Well...power hotel room...power tools? ALL OF THE ABOVE! Great script, cast and direction. This play is like a live action Tarrentino film directed by Simon Pegg. The pace is fast and the dialogue is witty. The actors keep you on the edge of your seat as they epertly navigate the space between danger and humor. The script was obviously well crafted and each character is completely fleshed out. This show never has a dull moment, it keeps the audience member presen... full review

Rachel Germaine is a tour de force in this one woman show. She takes you on a journey through her life and shows you what it was to grow up in Long Island as part of a loving dysfunctional family. This play is as poignant as it is entertaining. Rachel delivers a knock out blow for the Germaine clan in this incredibly honest piece.... full review

True artistry at work. Beau and Aero is full of fun, charm and creative play. The show itself is at once hilarious and poignant. The performances are a superb mix of outlandish and subtle. One of those shows that is over too soon because you can't get enough. This is a fringe MUST SEE!!... full review

Wanna be an actor? Skip that expensive college degree and see this show instead. Consider RJIH a Shakespearean master class taught by a hilarious cast of the bard's misfits. The cast is so tight in this mouthful of a show, never missing a beat and delivering excellent performances in this well written, creative piece of comedy.... full review
