Gold, Frank, and Murf are about to sacrifice their friendship, their manners, their comforts, their clothing and their use of language all to try and save their one common tie: a giant Eggshell! Combining European clown and modernism, Eggshell invites you to witness the universe where familiar things start to feel less and less familiar – the only world you know and love, but cracking apart. Told completely in gibberish, Eggshell is a unique heartfelt theatre experience not to be missed.
Art Via Corpora presents Søren Olsen’s heartwarming and quirky comedy EGGSHELL as part of the 3rd Annual Hollywood Fringe Festival. This 50-minute genre bending world premiere is told entirely in the Official Universal Language of Gibberish. Combining European clown, modernism, and the latest trends in American improvisation, Eggshell brings you a universe where familiar things start to feel less and less familiar. Through fits of screaming, darkness, song, injury, confusion, and a derangement of senses, three desperate friends try to unravel the mystery of what it takes to find true happiness.
An original boisterous sound design, a giant egg, a distinct use of light, and the talents of Elizabeth Colon Nelson (Gold), Gabriel McKinney (Frank), and Tim Reid (Murf) harness fresh methods of storytelling to carry the audience devotedly through an effort to re-imagine the way in which we can communicate with one another.

Eggshell is hosted in Artworks Theatre at 6567 Santa Monica Blvd. Performances are throughout the Fringe Festival: June 14, 16, 18, 21, and 23 at 10pm for $10. Additionally, two Pay-What-It’s-Worth preview performances will be held on June 8th and 11th at 10pm. All tickets are general admission.
