(LOS ANGELES, CA) – Moving Arts invites you to experience five original and absurdly impossible new stories certain to be fun and fantastic. Moving Arts, as part of The Hollywood Fringe Festival, is back again with their site-specific creation, “ASAP Fables” on Wednesday, June 20th 2012 at 8 PM, around the grounds of the legendary Hollywood United Methodist Church (HUMC) located at Highland and Franklin Avenues. This solitary performance is an hour long family-friendly event which will feature the performance of five, absurdly impossible and original fables, all of which were created…As Soon As Possible.

72 hours prior to the show, teams of actors, writers and directors will receive a handful of instructions and a Modern Moral, submitted in advance via the web. With no money and very little time, each team must overcome merciless production challenges and bring to life a new and original fable for your enjoyment. As an audience member, you will be guided through the grounds of HUMC, as these tales are performed for your pleasure.

Moving Arts is an award-winning theatre company with a 20-year history of producing bold new works and providing a home for emerging theater artists to grow and play. Their work, both on stage (“Song of Extinction”, “Blood and Thunder”) and environmental, (“The Car Plays”, “Arachnotopia”) has garnered the company acclaim from critics and audiences alike. “ASAP Fables”, their contribution to the exciting Hollywood Fringe Festival, should not be missed.

HUMC is located at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Highland Avenue in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Its English Gothic architecture and the giant HIV/AIDS Red Ribbon on the bell-tower have made it a prominent landmark in Hollywood. The church building was designed by Thomas P. Barber, and based in part on the English Gothic style of Westminster Hall in London. The structure is steel-framed concrete, with the sanctuary roof having an open hammer beam construction. Construction on the building was started in 1927 and was completed on March 16, 1930.
