The world premier of ‘The Relationship Play.’ is an original one-act play written by Nadine Svea Nonn about love, friendship, distance and time. The members of the cast are all graduates of AADA and from all corners of the U.S and Europe.

‘The Relationship Play.’ was written by Nadine Svea Nonn in 2011. In early 2012 she
started collaborating with director Ben Martin and assembled the original cast of the play. With great support from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) a staged reading was performed in the schools theatre in early March.
After great reviews, the play is now going to the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2012,
where it will have its world premiere as a full out performed play.

Six friends get together when Julia, who moved to New York two years previous,
visits home in London. What was supposed to be a nice get together with old friends
turns into a catastrophe when old relationships and secrets are brought to the table.
Julia’s in a long distance relationship with Oscar, who shares an apartment with
Anna’s boyfriend, Thomas. The four of them get into a dispute about Julia’s decision
to marry a stranger to get a green card and Thomas’s plan to go to Africa for a year.
The play takes a turn when Julia’s ex-boyfriend and Thomas’s brother, Nicolas,
enters the scenery – followed by his new girlfriend Jean.
In the already heated atmosphere secrets and feelings are brought to light and each
of them must answer questions they weren’t yet ready to.
Do we choose our dreams over love and how do we relate to our friends when
they’ve become strangers?
