THE VISCERAL COMPANY PRESENTS THE ORIGINAL PLAY GHOST LIGHT AS PART OF THE 2012 HOLLYWOOD FRINGE FESTIVAL

Ghost Light

view project

The Visceral Company is thrilled to present GHOST LIGHT, an original play written by Dan Spurgeon and directed by John B. McCormick, as part of the 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

GHOST LIGHT will play at the Underground Theater, 1312 N. Wilton Pl., Hollywood, CA, at the following dates and times:
Saturday, June 9 at 10:30 pm
Thursday, June 14 at 10 pm
Friday, June 15 at 10 pm
Sunday, June 17 at 10 pm
Thursday, June 21 at 10 pm
Friday, June 22 at 8:30 pm

Taking a cue from ’80s horror films, GHOST LIGHT is set in a possibly haunted campus theatre on a stormy Halloween night, when four college students gather to party and give each other the creeps. Between ghost stories, a ouija board, and free-flowing intoxicants, everyone gets a good scare… but strange and unexplainable events have the group wondering if the ghost stories might be more than just campus legends. The theatre itself becomes a character in this spooky environmental play.

GHOST LIGHT features Curtiss Johns as Mike, the campus “golden boy”; Ross Petrarca as Josh, the dumb frat boy jock; Stacy Snyder as Kelly, the bitchy sorority girl; and Stefani Davis as Julia, the pretty but shy outsider who’s hiding a dark secret.

Tickets for GHOST LIGHT are $12 for all performances, and are available from the Hollywood Fringe website (www.hollywoodfringe.org/projects/834) or www.thevisceralcompany.com. GHOST LIGHT contains language, sexual situations and terror elements, and is not recommended for young children. Due to the nature of this performance, there will ne no late seating.

The Visceral Company is dedicated to presenting killer shows from darker places. We hope to encourage further onstage exploration of the horror, thriller and science fiction genres, which have been underrepresented in theatre, and to build an appreciation of theatre in the younger audiences that are traditionally drawn to them.
