Solo show grappling with suicidal tendencies, religion and a red tutu skirt debuts in Hollywood Fringe

Hollywood, CA – May 3, 2012. The incomparable Nikki Brown, in conjunction with her company Rizen Routez Productions is proud to announce the release of her highly anticipated one-woman show Lost & Found, which is being directed by Phillip Edward Van Lear (Boss, Chicago Code, Meet the Browns, Prison Break). Fresh off her Chicago premiere, Actress Nikki Brown is bringing her one-woman show to the Hollywood Fringe Festival on June 11th, 16th & 17th. Nikki will be at Theater of NOTE—where she is a company member, 1517 North Cahuenga Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90028 on June 11, 2012 at 7:00 PM & June 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM then at the Comedy Sportz, 733 Seward Street, Los Angeles, CA 90038 on June 17, 2012 at 3:00 PM. All tickets at both locations and show times are only $15.00.

Lost & Found is an exposition of the people we become when grappling with issues such as domestic violence, tumultuous love affairs, suicidal tendencies, religion, sexual assault and red tutu skirts. In this powerful solo show dramedy, writer/performer Nikki Brown takes you on an emotional and compelling journey into the heart, soul and mind of a young woman as she finds her hidden truth through channeling the assistance of her inner voices.

Originally from Chicago, Brown graduated with a BA in Theatre from Columbia College and has been working professionally ever since in theater, film and new media in both LA and Chicago. As a star in the critically acclaimed, award-winning series The Real Girls Guide to Everything Else—about a group of ethnically diverse “Real Women” navigating a “Sex and the City” world— Brown has been interviewed in numerous outlets, such as NPR’s Tell Me More to ALHlive, about her role in the series and the growing presence of women in New Media.

In addition to, Rizen Routez Productions, Brown is also a founder of Sheroes-in-Production and is currently in pre-production for Sheroes (in which Brown stars as “Cadillac Carter”) a Charlie’s Angels Meets 60s Batman action-comedy with a kiss of Sex and the City that follows the journey of four women of color—each born with extraordinary superpowers—as they juggle single life while discovering their true destiny: saving the Universe…or at least Los Angeles!
