JOHN 10:10 AT HOLLYWOOD FRINGE TO BE FIRST PRODUCTION OF NEW FESTIVAL THEATRE USA

(LOS ANGELES, CA) Festival Theatre USA has announced that John 10:10, a new one act play, will receive its world premiere at the upcoming, third annual Hollywood Fringe Festival. John 10:10, written and directed by Michael Etzrodt, is a five-character play that focuses on a father/son team of door-to-door evangelists, and the people who pay the price for knowing them. Etzrodt says that John 10:10 is a “slice of life story of a unique relationship between a Father, a Son, and The Holy Ghost”.
John 10:10 will have two preview performances at the Fringe, June 7th at 8:30pm, June 10th at 5:00pm, and on June 15 and 16 at10:00pm, June 19 at7:00pm, and June 22 and 23 at 7:15pm at the 6470 Theatre at t The Complex, 6470 Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood. Tickets are $15 and are available at www.hollywoodfringe.org or by calling phone 323 455-4585. The cast of John 10:10 includes Kevin McCorkle, Bryce McBratnie, Shauna Steiner Torok, Joan Jack, and Charmaine Mancil.
The play is the first production of the recently revived Festival Theatre USA. Originally conceived by late theatre professor John Edw. Blankenchip, Festival Theatre USA has a near 50-year tradition of producing new and classic American theatre, and was the first American company to appear on the Edinburgh Fringe in 1966. The new company will continue in the tradition of the original non-profit, and was reestablished under the guidance of a group of alumni of the USC School of Theatre, whose participation in the original organization spans five decades. Festival Theatre USA will also archive the history of the organization through photographs, reviews and other documents. More information on the organization can be found on Facebook.
