HOLLYWOOD – June 8, 2011 – Writer, director, and producer David Wisehart returns to the Hollywood Fringe Festival with the world premiere of ENDGAME. In this one-act drama, a game of chess between a lonely writer and a woman of mystery leads to a surprising endgame and an unexpected mate.

Wisehart previously directed the world premiere of VALENTINO: A PLAY IN VERSE at last year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival. Since then he has directed: THE OTHER WISE MAN, a one-act opera, for which he wrote the libretto; Gregory Craft’s FRIENDS LIKE THESE, a play Wisehart discovered at last year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival; and Noel Coward’s BLITHE SPIRIT.

“The Hollywood Fringe Festival is an amazing place to explore and discover new work,” says Wisehart. “After a wonderful experience at last years festival, I’m excited to be back directing another world premiere.”

ENDGAME stars Rachel Andrea Cox as Minette, Couso as Devon, and Wesley Schilling as Barista Bob.

The play was originally workshopped in 2008 at the College of the Canyons New Works Festival under the direction of David Stears.
