FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The Hollywood Fringe Festival presents The Black and The Jew

She’s Black, He’s Jewish, They’re Married, Oy Vey!

Los Angeles, May 18, 2011- The Hollywood Fringe Festival is proud to present one of their funniest and most controversial shows to date.

Meet the fabulously funny, and equally shocking couple, Epstein and Hassan (The Black and The Jew), as they reveal their personal-yet-surprisingly-universal insights into relationships, sex, politics and sex through “Black/Jew/Love Technology.”

Their unique relationship began 27 years ago at the door of a famous New York City jazz club and since then they’ve been spreading their brand of gospel on unsuspecting audiences whenever and wherever they can.

The Black and the Jew is a raunchy-yet-heartwarming comedy show about improving relationships –with your partner as well as yourself- by following BJL’s proven step-by-step process no matter who you are.

Epstein and Hassan developed their unique brand of comedy from realizing that even when they were failing financially, had no jobs and were getting older, their relationship was still a triumphant success!

Joan Rivers has called the show “fabulous and funny.” Jerry Stiller wants to know “where these two have been?” Robin Quivers raved about the show and called it

“hilarious!” and Dan Aykroyd even approached “E&H” about taking the show to Vegas!

For over two years, this hilariously provocative show has been steadily selling-out at some of New York’s hottest clubs/theaters, including LaMaMa’s, Gene Frankel Theater, Sanford Meisner Theater, Joe’s Pub, The Cutting Room and even The Museum of Sex!

On June 19th, 21st and 22nd Epstein and Hassan are bringing their unique brand of sex and comedy to Los Angeles’s famous “M BAR” where big-time comics such as Louis CK, Kevin Nealon, and Margaret Cho and have recently performed.

Hassan says, “Ultimately we want to be funny, make people think and sell out the room,” and Epstein says, "If the audience laughs, we have great sex that night and the audience members will too.”

Show times are 7:30p.m. on Sunday, June 19th and 8p.m. on Tuesday, June 21st and Wednesday, June 22nd. Tickets are $12. Reservations are recommended.

Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.hollywoodfringe.org/projects/597 or by calling the M Bar at (323) 856-0036.
