Malcolm Moore’s all-new kid’s puppet musical, “MR. MALCOLM’S MUSIC FACTORY,” an interactive family comedy, arrives at the Hollywood Fringe this summer, making music and fun for the whole family! Mr. Malcolm and his friends Lord Boom Boom Stick the cat, Sandewanda the lizard, and Willow the garden weasel make rhythms and music in their Factory lighthouse and send them out all over the world! But recently, something’s been happening – the light has been getting dim. Dark blotchy creatures called “SADS” have started attaching themselves to it. With the light disappearing, the inhabitants of the lighthouse experience all sorts of negative emotions and it’s up to Malcolm (and the audience) to help everyone understand and overcome the situation and bring the light back!

Dealing with social emotional issues through music is a specialty of Moore’s, a behavioral therapist, former minister, drummer, and music teacher. MR. MALCOLM’S MUSIC FACTORY blends all of his talents into one “near-hour” of music and fun. Kids will be play musical games from the audience (all COVID-safe) and learn about emotions and mindfulness. Joining Moore are acclaimed puppeteers Anderson (AVENUE Q on Broadway, KIDDING), Flati (EARTH TO NED, K.C. UNDERCOVER), and Yerrid (DARK CRYSTAL: AGE OF RESISTANCE, SESAME STREET). Matt Ritchey, Director and Writer of ANGEL’S FLIGHT (2016 Hollywood Fringe Best Cabaret/Variety Winner) and BLACKBOXING (2019 Hollywood Fringe Best Cabaret/Variety Winner) returns to the Fringe to write and direct.
