HOLLYWOOD, CA May 9, 2011 Award-winning theater company, Cowboys and Indians, presents Maizy: A Fable as part of the Second Annual Hollywood Fringe Festival. Press preview Tuesday June 14th at 8pm. Performances will be held at the Open Fist Theatre, 6209 Santa Monica Blvd, Hollywood CA. Showtimes are as follows: Saturday June 18th and Tuesday June 20th at 8pm; Thursday June 23rd and Friday June 24th at 10 pm; and Saturday June 25th at 2 pm.

Maizy is the story of an ambitious country fairy who comes to Hollywood with nothing but her wings, a suitcase, and the dream of making it big. This fifty minute, fast paced satire uses bold theatricality to create an enchanting and humorous tale . Will Maizy’s desire to spread her wings send her to the moon or land her among fallen stars?

Last year, Cowboys and Indians enjoyed great success with The Wolf Girls, nominated for three Fringe Festival Awards and winner of The Bitter Lemons Outrageous Award for Theatre.
