Most community meetings are filled with boring junk like petitions and bureaucratic red tape and an old man breathing heavy into one of those thin mics, but this is way different. Town Brawl is an immersive sketch comedy show that accidentally shatters the fourth wall and then just kind of goes with it.
Inspired by the outrageous, ridiculous and absurd posts found on Nextdoor.com, Town Brawl is probably the best sketch comedy that’s ever been titled Town Brawl. The brainchild of Maura McCarthy and JR Mallon, which after this production might be their only child, Town Brawl is 54 minutes of pure enjoyment and 6 super awkward minutes of uncomfortable laughter and looking around.
