PREMIERING AT THE HOLLYWOOD FRINGE FESTIVAL

SWIPE RIGHT: THE MUSICAL!
The Online Dating Musical Nobody Asked For

Written & Directed by Hannah Rae Dillon
Opening June 8th 2019 @ 7:00PM

May 12, 2019, Los Angeles, CA— Presenting Swipe Right: The Musical! Written and Directed by Hannah Rae Dillon. Opening June 8th, and running through June 28th at Stephanie Feury Studio Theater, 5636 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038.

Swipe Right: The Musical! is just as silly and stupid as you’d hope. The story follows one woman’s bold decision to swipe right and take a chance on “Mike,” a fuckboy with a heart of gold. Will they end up together? Or just bang one to three times and never speak again? Featuring catchy, original tunes like “Swipe Right, Tonight!” “Paragraph Text” and “I Need Dick,” Swipe Right details the rise and fall of one brief, insignificant, dating app love affair.

If you’re looking for an in-depth conversation about relationships, you’ve come to the wrong place, because Swipe Right: The Musical! is purely about having fun and laughing at our pain. Think “My Crazy Ex Girlfriend” meets every bad date you’ve ever been on. It’ll leave you screaming, “no he didn’t!” and, “I can relate, honey.”

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Writer, Director & Producer Hannah Rae Dillon

Hannah Rae Dillon is a screenwriter with experience doing improv, sketch, and music writing in Los Angeles. She grew up in a loud, Jewish, Long Island family, and hopes this will explain all of her annoying qualities in advance.

After winning Script Pipeline’s TV Writing competition for her original pilot “Default,” Hannah found representation with Brooklyn Weaver at Energy Entertainment, and Jordan Bayer at Original Artists. You can learn more about her at HannahRaeDillon.com.

Music Director Eric Schackne

Eric Schackne is a renaissance jack-of-all-trades and overall human being. His music direction experience goes from off-broadway to touring with bands (Warped Tour RIP). He produces and writes serious and funny music, and composes for a variety of projects (Spermcast, Ty’s Pies, Idle Worship). You can frequently find Eric at The Second City Hollywood where he loves teaching musical improv, music directing, and accompanying many a show. IG: @letsgetcaught

Choreographer Chuck Maa

After graduating from Chapman University, Chuck Maa moved to Hollywood where he continued to pursue his career as a dancer in the commercial dance industry. He was lucky enough to dance for artist and appear in ads and performances for companies such as, foot locker and Nike. After appearing on America’s Best Dance Crew with his crew, Instant Noodles, Chuck has since had the opportunity to travel around America teaching and putting together shows. While on tour with his crew he began opening each dance number with some stand up and has since delved into storytelling, improv, and sketch comedy.
