BEER AND TRICKS WITH BRIAN HOWARD

Internationally known variety performer Brian Howard combines his irreverent comedic style and varied variety skills with his love of beer in a show that asks the question “If we have a few drinks and do a few tricks, how much fun can we have?”

Brian Howard began his performing career at the age of eighteen as a street performer in Baltimore, Maryland. It was there that he learned to engage people and make them laugh when all they were previously thinking of was “Where is the nearest raw bar?” From those humble origins Brian got into the world of improvisational theater, performing with the nationally know troupe ComedySportz in Washington DC. While there he was seen by the director of the political satire group Gross National Product and for a while could be seen regularly in the two most popular comedy shows in the DC area.

Moving to Florida Brian founded the Orlando franchise of ComedySportz while at the same time performing in the national renaissance faire circuit. While performing at renaissance faires as “Broon” Brian began working regularly with the popular clown MooNiE played by Philip Earl Johnson in the MooNiE and Broon Show which has become one of the most influential and popular shows on the circuit and has expanded into performing arts centers around the country.

In addition to numerous faires and theater appearances Brian has appeared at the Minnesota Fringe Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Melbourne Australia.

Brian’s style has been described as part stand-up, part variety artist with a strong ability to interact with the audience. “It’s kind of variety-comedy jazz” says Brian “which is different from most other variety performers in that precision is usually the name of the game. But I prefer the excitement of knowing that I could do or say anything at anytime. It makes it a lot more engaging for the audience and certainly more fun for me. I consider the show a comedy conversation that just happens to have a few cool tricks in it”
