Looking to escape an absurd political election outcome in his country, a young man decides to move to France and to begin a new life in the city of Love, Beauty, and Lights – Paris!

The show immerses the audience in the extraordinary Parisian universe; its ladies, its ambiance, and its aesthetics. The sights, the sounds, the tastes of French delicacies, and all other senses are united to transport the audience to Europe and experience a myriad of unique moments full of surprises. Meanwhile, in the style of the original European cabaret using humor, sarcasm or irony, the story also addresses some eternal societal issues, hoping to not only give our audience cravings for French cuisine, but also “food for thought.”

About Cabaret Versatile

Created in 2012 by founder Lola Ohlala, Cabaret Versatile has made appearances on Fox11 “Good Day LA” and TV5 Monde in “Carnets d’Amériques” as well as a couple times on the “Late Late Show with James Corden” (CBS). Awarded Best Cabaret & Variety show and nominated for Best International for its debuts with “Carpe Noctem” during the HFF 2012, Cabaret Versatile has been growing, creating, performing and taking its feathers, and joie-de-vivre, around the States, all the way to Hawaii and even Guatemala.

Director/Choreographer Lola Ohlala

For the founder of Cabaret Versatile, French cabaret was love at first sight. After many years of sharing French Cabaret’s unique history through acting, dancing, singing, directing and choreographing, her passion remains strong and she never tires of its richness.
Sexy, elegant, yet funny or a tad nostalgic, French cabaret is, for Lola, a fantastic way to reflect the emotions life drives one through. In a world where everything is getting bigger, faster, computerized, and mechanized, she believes in the importance of creating productions involving firstly the genuine talent and versatility of the artists on stage. With this emphasis of authenticity, she presents realistic ideas while always working on surprising her audience.

A refreshing and unique Parisian show, in a legendary Hollywood venue.

It’s with great honor that “The Parisian Dream” will debut on the Assistance League Playhouse’s historical stage. From its fantastic charity, to the beauty and age of its interior, this venue has the perfect spirit and soul for a traditional French cabaret show…
