May 1 2018, Hollywood, CA—A dark, outrageous mash-up of Chekhov’s tragi-comic classic Three Sisters, with the epic realness of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, written by Lucy Gillespie—creator of the cult series Unicornland.
Depressed by the bleakness of life in a Russian small town at the turn of the century, three bougie sisters pack up and move to Moscow. Back in the glittering city of their youth, Olga, Masha and Irina search for love, gaiety and purpose. But is Moscow enough to make their dreams come true? Find out in this glamorous peek into their exploits and privileged private lives. Every day is a chaotic mix of fame, business, lip filler and vodka!
KEEPING UP WITH THE PROZOROVS is a hilarious examination of millennial existential despair. From haters to hustle to heartbreak, this coming-of-age cautionary tale shows the price ambitious women pay to make it in Moscow. Written by Lucy Gillespie—creator of the female sex positive series Unicornland seen in Rolling Stone, Glamour, Vice, and NPR’s All Things Considered—directed by Katie Lindsay, co-founder of feminist theater company The Habitat, and featuring a cast that’s female-driven and diverse AF, PROZOROVS is the play to release you from your bougie inertia and beautiful dark twisted fantasies.
