Los Angeles, CA – “Save Me a Spot,” the debut musical by Waldkirch & Lowder makes its world premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, beginning June 3rd at Asylum’s Studio C mainstage.

To win the heart of his favorite YouTube star, 30-something slacker Chris decides to make a grand gesture – waiting in line for a pair of concert tickets. Over the course of one night, he’s joined by a handful of colorful strangers who share their stories, dreams, and ill-advised business plans.

With a hilarious book by Jeremiah Lowder and infectious music by Dan Waldkirch, Save Me a Spot is a simple and sweet romantic comedy about making the most of life, when most of life is a little bit dull.

“Save Me a Spot” stars Clayton Farris as Chris, Kristen Heitman as Bailee, Kate Ponzio as Hank, Garrett Vander Leun as Bird and Brent Lydic as Miles.

Jeremiah Lowder has been performing in musical theatre for over 20 years. In 2004, while living in Northern California he co-wrote an independent film titled “Wasted” with an ensemble cast lead by Eddie Kaye Thomas and Kaley Cuoco. His work on the film lead him to Southern California where he has been living for the last 11 years. In LA he has had the opportunity to perform on many stages including Civic Light Opera – South Bay, Actors Co-Op, and the critically acclaimed For the Record Series. After acting in over 100 musicals, this is his first time writing and directing.

Dan Waldkirch is a classically-trained composer and percussionist who has been writing and performing original music since 2003. Through his day job as Operations Manager at Crucial Music, Dan’s music has landed in over 20 feature films and network TV shows, including The Mindy Project, Fargo (series), and Nashville. Dan performed all of the instruments and produced the live tracks and cast album for “Save Me a Spot.” This is his first fully-staged musical.

“Save Me a Spot” is the first collaboration between Dan Waldkirch and Jeremiah Lowder, though it will almost certainly not be their last.

“Save Me a Spot” will be performed as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival Saturday, June 3th at 2:00 pm, Friday June 9th at 8:30 pm, Sunday June 18th at 5:30 pm, Thursday June 22nd at 8:30 pm and Saturday June 24th at 10:30 pm.
