“Still Got It” is a solo comedy show written and performed by Brendan Hunt, and directed by Lauren Van Kurin; Hunt and Van Kurin return to the Fringe with formidable track records.

Hunt is an Emmy-nominated writer who is also the author of the Peanuts inspired dark comedy “Absolutely Filthy,” which won Top of the Fringe and Best Comedy at Hollywood Fringe Festival 2013, while earning Best Comedy and the Audience Award at New York International Fringe Festival 2014; at both festivals, Hunt was also awarded Best Actor for his role as “The Mess.”

Also at NYIFF 2014, Hunt directed Best Musical winner “King of Kong: An Unauthorized Musical,” co-written and co-performed by Van Kurin and Amber Ruffin (of “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”) “Kong” came to HFF 2015, where it was again awarded Best Musical.

Hunt also played the title role in “The Poe Sow,” HFF 2015’s Best Comedy.

“Still Got It” is a tale of one bad weekend in seven (or so) scenes (in non-chronological order). The main character is Tim O’Connor, who we meet under police interrogation, for reasons not immediately clear. He drunkenly recounts for an unseen detective the events that brought him to this point, beginning with the seemingly innocuous attempt to give a memorable toast at a friend’s wedding. An odyssey of mid-level substance abuse ensues, with a healthy added dose of Lemonade.

Hunt’s previous solo effort was “Five Years In Amsterdam” which was performed at Upright Citizens Brigade LA as well as UCB NY, Second City ETC, iO West, Boom Chicago (of Amsterdam), the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and as an official selection of the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival.

“Still Got It” represents Van Kurin’s directorial debut.
