This astonishing Fringe debut utilizes an accomplished mind reader and an interactive cartoon character in a truly unique approach to exploring the powers of the mind!

LOS ANGELES – Billed as a look at the fun side of ESP for adult audiences, Mind2Mind features both a human mind reader and an interactive cartoon character that appears on a TV screen and actually reads the audience’s thoughts. Packed with fun, laughs and seriously mind-blowing experiments, co-writer Dave Egan promises Mind2Mind will leave audiences at the Hollywood Fringe Festival absolutely astonished…and even more important, entertained.

Interested in show business since he was a small child, Egan has seen his fair share of shows that promoted amazing displays of the powers of the mind and he has two words to describe them:

“Serious and dull.”

That’s why when he set out with his co-writer and performer, Don Bice, to create a show of their own, he wanted to make sure it was as entertaining as it was amazing and mystifying. Infusing comedy, banter, incredible demonstrations and astounding animation technology, the result is Mind2Mind: The Interactive ESP Adventure, making its jaw-dropping debut at the Lounge Theater as part of the 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

“We know people are interested in the supernatural, so we decided to give them what they wanted,” Egan said. “But dress it in a newer set of clothes.”

Bice works as the live human entertainer and Egan works the animation, a concept they developed through working trade shows. While Bice’s mind reading is impressive, it’s the animated character that has a life of its own that Egan thinks will blow away patrons.

Instead of pursuing a career as a mind reader, Bice chose to go into the corporate world, opening a creative agency that wrote and produced presentations selling everything from computer chips to heavy duty farming equipment, often relying on his theatrical skills. Bice also created theme park shows for Six Flags parks in Dallas and St. Louis, and Walt Disney’s EPCOT Center’s World of Tomorrow.

Egan started his show biz career at age six, as one of the Kids Who Say The Darndest Things on The Art Linkletter Show. His interest in magic began almost as early. In his teens, he was (at that time) the youngest performer to ever appear at Hollywood’s famed Magic Castle. Egan went on to work as a presenter on countless corporate presentations across the US and abroad. He also worked at Walt Disney Imagineering and is currently a full time writer.

“We’re excited to work together again for the first time in fifteen years,” Egan said. “There’s lots of fun and laughs, and a lot of incredible mind reading, as well. This show will leave many members of the audience questioning whether ESP is real.”
