LA Metro Comes to the Stage at the Hollywood Fringe Festival Performances of “Please Stand Clear, The Doors Are Closing”

For people who have ridden LA Metro, it’s not hard to imagine a wide range of extreme experiences taking place within the closed doors of their Metro trains. Actor and writer David Harper has used his experiences on the LA Metro Expo Line train to craft his newest one-man show, “Please Stand Clear, The Doors Are Closing.” The tragicomedy is scheduled for the Lounge Theater in June as part of the 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

Los Angeles, CA – March 28, 2016 – “Please Stand Clear, The Doors Are Closing” is a tragicomic one man show that invites the audience to experience life, death, and all the scary stuff in between through the eyes of 12 people on the Metro Expo Line train. Come for the laughs. Stay for the tears. Leave with an annoying song stuck in your head.

Los Angeles based actor and writer David Harper found his inspiration for the show by observing how people interact with each other while riding Metro. From the perspective of these 12 characters, he provides a humorous look at the tragedies we face, the choices we make, and the one thing everyone must do.

“Often the people you least want to listen to are the ones with the most to say,” commented Harper, about Please Stand Clear, The Doors are Closing. “Inspiration can come from anyone if you’re willing to listen. And on Metro, you’re kind of a captive audience.”

“Please Stand Clear, The Doors are Closing” will be held at the Lounge Theatre, located at 6201 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, California. Dates scheduled are Sunday, June 5 at 2PM (Preview); Saturday, June 11 at 8PM; Wednesday, June 15 at 6PM; Friday, June 24, at 6PM; and Sunday, June 26, at 11:55AM
