LOCAL THEATER COMPANY LOSES ITS MIND AND PRODUCES 26 SHORT PLAYS

Hollywood, Theatre Row – For the fourth year in a row, intrepid play development lab Fierce Backbone refuses to listen to reason and produces not one but 26 World Premiere plays in 55 minutes of ridiculousness called WHAT THE F*CK?

With plays ranging from the comic to the farcical to the nonsensically silly, Fierce writers and actors have invited script submissions from other mentally unbalanced people out there who write fun-size plays for the stage.

Director Doug Oliphant says, “You know that thing where there’s a whole lot of talent in the room or on the page but the person, or in this case people, are completely whacked? …um, yeah, that.”

“You hate to think fear is an issue,” adds an anonymous Fierce Backbone member, “but that whole Theatre Row naming thing might have something to do with it. I think we wanted to do a play real quick before there actually isn’t a Theatre Row any more. I mean, what the [expletive] is going on here?”

The show runs just under 60 minutes and features special prizes for a few lucky audience members including a $20 Amazon gift card on opening night. “Because we’re not above bribing an audience to show up,” says Fierce Board President Amy Tofte. “You know my mom keeps asking me why I have to swear so [expletive] much and I just tell her producing live theater taught me. [expletive] in a [expletive] it did.”

Veteran Fringe participant, playwright and WTF? producer Ben Scuglia says, “I just don’t want anyone to fall off the stage. These people are nuts.”

WHAT THE F*CK? is part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival at The Dorie Theatre at The Complex. Please allow extra time to find [expletive] parking. We can only hold the curtain for a few [expletive] minutes.
