Ethel Merman: Queen of Musical Comedy

Gaby Rey, in her Hollywood Fringe debut, will be performing her one-woman show “ETHEL MERMAN: QUEEN OF MUSICAL COMEDY” in the Ruby Theater at the Complex. Gaby performs a show detailing the life of Ethel Merman in the first person and in costume. As the story winds through the many Broadway shows in which Ethel Merman starred, Gaby sings songs and medleys from the shows. Experience the ups and downs and greatest sounds of one of musical theater’s brightest stars. The show is great for all ages; the songs and music are timeless.

Gaby Rey Productions produces autobiographical stories of famous entertainers. Gaby is a graduate of USC School of Theater and resides in Los Angeles. She writes her own material and performs her one-woman musical shows in Los Angeles and Chicago. Gaby is excited to be a part of Hollywood Fringe and bring back the memories for those who know of Ethel Merman and enlighten those who are not familiar with her. Either way, the audience is always surprised to find out that they know all of the songs that Ethel Merman made famous on the Broadway stage over a career spanning 40 years.
