LOS ANGELES, May 2015. The inseparable Lenore Sisters kept their harmonies tight from the vaudeville circuits to the recording studio. But their tune changed after the suspicious death of their promoter. Did one of the sisters get away with murder? Copper Moll Productions is delighted to present The Last Known Recording of the Lovely Lenore Sisters, a world premiere solo show with music playing at the Hollywood Fringe Festival June 6, 13, 18, 21 & 26 at the Lounge Theatre.
The Last Known Recording of the Lovely Lenore Sisters is a solo show with music, a hilarious and heartfelt exploration of the strong passions of three singing sisters, deeply rooted in their vaudeville upbringing. Written and Performed by Jennifer Kenyon, a performer/playwright who can be seen on television, in theatre, in improv and occasionally with puppets; the story features three sisters shaped by depression era. Ms. Kenyon plays all three singing sisters, inspired by acts like the Boswell Sisters but entirely fictional. Amanda Weier, another hyphenated director/actor/producer in the 99-seat theatre scene in Los Angeles for over ten years, directs the new work for Copper Moll Productions. The Last Known Recording of the Lovely Lenore Sisters is the first Hollywood Fringe offering by Copper Moll Productions, a company inspired by stories about unconventional women and dedicated to providing dynamic roles for female performers and storytellers.
