THE GOOD DOCTOR PRESS RELEASE

The Good Doctor

view project

For immediate release.

A group of five community college students are bringing The Good Doctor on a Hollywood stage at the Complex theatre for the Fringe Festival.
The Good Doctor is a one act play which runs 25 minutes starring Benjamin Birmingham who plays a psychiatrist under interrogation after being incarcerated. Detective Fieger- played by Trevor West- calls the doctor in without explanation, saying that he wants to delve farther into the mind of a criminal. Both men reveal pieces from their past and realize that they are not all too different.
The characters strike a familiar note while the play takes an interesting turn. The performance is marked by a dance overlapping with the doctor’s lines. This unique combination gives a new perspective on the arts and brings a montage to the stage.
“The theatrical movement of dance brings out the grief felt by Doctor Arbor and connects him with the audience,” director Christian Roe said.
Performances are as follows:
Saturday, June 14 at 3:30 pm
Friday, June 20 at 10:30 pm
Sunday, June 22 at 7:30 pm
Thursday, June 26 at 8:00 pm
Saturday, June 28 at 9:30 pm
The Good Doctor performs at the Flight theatre. All tickets are free.
