THE WORLD PREMIERE OF
BUENA NOCHE BY MIMI DAVILA

A SOLO PERFORMANCE WITH MUSIC AND DANCE

Five performances from June 6th to June 28th, 2014
Opening Night: June 6th

LOS ANGELES, CA—As part of this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival, The Actors Company will house the world-premiere of Buena Noche by Mimi Davila. This solo performance features a number of different characters all portrayed by one actress. Told through music and dance inspired by the island of Cuba, this theatrical experience will take audiences on a journey through time as a young girl attempts to reconnect with her family’s past. The production will run for five performances from June 6th through June 28th. Opening night is Friday, June 6th. The play will be presented in The Other Space at The Actors Company.

Buena Noche follows a young girl named Elia as she is taken on a journey to a magical island where she meets a number of characters, from a young girl who bears an unusual resemblance to her, to a dazzling showgirl whose powers suggest she is more than she seems. Things on the island are slowly disappearing, and it is up to Elia to recover and save the memories and traditions of the place her family once called home.
