TOTAL NOVICE is a raw tale of two lost souls willing to do anything for a human connection as they plow through a sleepless night where drug-addled delusions transform potential fantasy into lethal nightmare. After ten weeks laid up with two broken legs, David goes stir crazy on the first night he can walk again, finds a girl on Craigslist who proposes they spend the night partying. With no idea what that means, he picks her up at a gas station where she implores him to drive to the Fatburger on Lankersheim to buy her

David Rodwin (Writer/Performer) won The Moth StorySLAM and has created and toured four previous one-man shows. VIRTUAL MOTION: A One-Man Hyper-Opera (LA’s Sacred Fools and 20 cites in the US & Europe), MONKS AND SLUTS AND STATESMEN, OH, MY! (Edinburgh) and TRIPPIN’ (LaMaMa ETC), through which he found a mentor in Spalding Gray. Spalding invited David to The Atlantic Center for the Arts in 2002 from which he emerged a month later with his monologue RAGING LOVE as well as a book about working with Spalding called NEVER MEET YOUR IDOLS. David is also the writer/composer of five large-scale musicals/operas performed from American Opera Projects to The Public Theatre’s New Works Now. He’s worked in the Writers’ Rooms on the TV shows Swingtown, HawthoRNe and JONAS LA. And with his non-profit production company RIPFest/Raw Impressions, Inc. he produced the world premieres of 170 of ten-minute musicals and 60 short films. @davidrodwin

Adriana Colón (Director) is a native Puerto Rican and a recent graduate of Harvard University. Colón’s career began with a street theatre troupe in San Juan, and she is currently a frequent collaborator at Casa 0101 in LA. Recent directing projects include the opera Les Plaisirs de la Paix, the immersive How We Chose to End the World, a Spanish-language production of La Casa de Bernarda Alba, and the world premiere of BOX at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. adrianacolon.com @adrilingua
