HOLLYWOOD, CA—Matt Ritchey will direct his new play, ROMEO AND JULIET IN HELL, in the Flight Theatre at The Complex for the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2014. The hour-long comedy received a staged reading at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2002, but the June 13th Premiere will be the first full production of the play.

Romeo and Juliet, dead, wake up to find themselves stuck in their Personal Hell – forced to listen to WEST SIDE STORY music for eternity. To escape, they must suffer through a production of their life story performed by the other inhabitants of Hell – Shakespeare’s dead characters! Featuring Luke Wesley Baldridge, Gail Friedland, Michael Onofri, Rebecca Lane, Nick Ley, Kevin Swanstrom, Tamara Rhoads, Wisam Mubasher, Tim Astor, Chairman Barnes, Schoen Hodges, Andy Kenareki, and Eusebio Hernandez, ROMEO AND JULIET IN HELL is full of theatre-goer inside jokes, Broadway show tunes, and madcap madness!

Recommended for ages 15 and up.
