“Sometimes life’s little demons have nine lives.”
Coping with the loss of their mother to Cancer, Abigail and Tasha have a bone to pick with the demon cat that threatens their grandmother’s health. Their refusal to lose another woman in their life makes their mission relentless, even if they have to become cat killers.

A dark comedy about cats, healing, and family.

WHO:
Neko is a new one act performing at the 2013 Hollywood Fringe Festival written by Barbara Ishida, directed by Aurora Lizardi. This play is a joint venture with CSULA Goes to the Fringe (CSULAGF), a student organization spawned by a group of MFA graduate students at California State University, Los Angeles; and Consuming The Arts Theatre Project (CTA), a non-profit artist co-op whose goal is to bring the arts in workshop form to students who have limited/no access to art curriculum in school.
Playwright Barbara Ishida made her fringe debut last year with Tearing the World Apart, which was nominated for Best in Dance and Physical Theater. Director Aurora Lizardi has produced over 30 shows since beginning her tenure as Artistic Director of CTA in 2008, which have included a collection of her plays along with many other Residing Artists’ work. Neko also features up and coming multimedia artist Anais Godard, recently relocated choreographer Analy Gamino, and first time fight coordinator Vance Loggins.
