THE DEADLY SUPERSTORM OF VIVALDI’S WINTER
Gays VS The BIBLE, Lovers VS Lies, and the Ultimate Sacrifice

The world is up in arms over the debate of gay marriage and America is struggling to find their place in this new shifting world. With the pressure weighing down upon us as the world’s leader while being sandwiched between two countries that have already legalized same sex unions, Americans are finding themselves questioning their beliefs and morals.

The Smiley Face and The Frown Entertainment Group weighs in with a three part world premiere written by Ellen Chambers, Mark Mason, and Ashley Victoria Robinson. Tackling the issues of same sex marriage, unions built on lies, and the right to take a life. This 2013 Hollywood Fringe Festival project encompasses themes of love, betrayal, death, sexuality, patriotism and religion as brought to life by two actors portraying four different characters:

Part One: WOMAN. Taken from the play REST FOR THE WEARY SPIRIT by Mark Mason and Ellen Chambers. Performed by Ashley Victoria Robinson. Character: MELANIE SPINDLER

Part Two: WOMAN AND MAN. FLAWED by Ashley Victoria Robinson. Performed by JP Rapozo and Ashley Victoria Robinson.
Jeremiah 48:10- “…cursed be he who does the Lords work remissly, cursed he who holds back his sword from blood.”

Part Three: MAN . Original Monologue entitled HE HEALS THE BROKENHEARTED by Mark Mason. Performed by JP Rapozo. Character: ERIC
Leviticus 20:13- “…if a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives.”
