As our press shots from previous seasons’ shows indicate, NOTE is one of the more artistically risky venues in Hollywood. We’re interested in the written word first. We’re known for our challenging world premiere productions and hope to house as many world premieres from international companies as possible. Though we’re certainly open to companies from the states and local artists as well, emphasis will be placed on original ensemble work. Comedies, dramas, improv, all genres. NOTE is known for its stage-diving approach to theatre. No topic too controversial. Bring. It. On.

Our Mission Statement:

Theatre of NOTE is made up of an enduring ensemble of diverse theatre artists in the heart of Hollywood who inspire, inform, and ignite our audiences by discovering courageous voices and creating entertaining, provocative, and revelatory theatrical works.

Our Values Statement(s):

—Theatre of NOTE stands for an ability and willingness to take artististic risks.

—We find a strong sense of communal self in our generosity, integrity, respect, diversity, and the democracy of our organization.

—We choose plays that illuminate universal truths of emotional honesty, passion, and humanity through theatrical extremes.

—We maintain a safe and professional artistic environment in which we can risk, express, learn, and flourish while working in many capacities with fellow visionary theatre artists on challenging premiere theatrical works.

—We treat our company members and guest artists with respect, encouragement, love, and support for each other’s artistic growth, vision, and experience.

—We welcome our audiences with enthusiasm, intelligence, and a desire to share the best of what NOTE has to offer.

A note to interested artistic parties: We will be deciding over the next few months which acts we feel most match the physical aspects and aesthetic sensibilities that make NOTE what it is. Please be patient. We’re in the process of deciding exactly what nominal rental rate would be most appropriate for our guest productions and what kind of box office deal would most benefit the visiting artist. We’re very excited to be part of the Fringe experience and hope we can work with you to help bring Hollywood the most eclectic, diverse and challenging works out there!

If you have ANY support materials at all, ie: script, pictures, videos, resumes, etc, please, either post them on your HFF page or send links via email where we can see your stuff. (No worries if you don’t have much. It’s just that any information will help!)
