Go and take this journey with Michael Kass. You won't be sorry. This story is so vivid and well performed you'll forget there's only one person on stage. A must see!... full review

GO! Michael Kass is a master storyteller, and this is his meisterwerk. Ceremony is about so many things, but what stands out is the delicacy, dark humor, ease, honesty, and pure artistry and technique with which Kass weaves his tale. He is in complete control of his sometimes very personal material. He is eminently likable on stage while telling a story that is riveting, sometimes scary, strange as hell, and yet a universal tale. And cudos on the detailed and alluring sound design as well. I work in audio, and I kept wondering, how the hell are they doing that?!? ... full review

Best show of the Fringe. No contest. Go see this show. It will make you want to get up and DO SOMETHING. It will make you want to create or live or take a chance, to break out of the bubble you currently live in. And a great show, that is expertly written, acted, designed and directed that also makes you want to change your life is kind of the best thing you can hope for when going to see a play.... full review

I left this show feeling refreshed, regrounded, and reignited. Michael Kass' story telling is unbelievable and enlightening. This is more than a one-man show. I'll explain: We are an audience seeking inspiration, in just as much of a way as Michael was on his trip to Peru. I was swept away from start to finish. I left relaxed, happy with life, and with a better sense of self. And I seriously slept better than night and woke up refreshed! I mean, seriously! What kind of show can do that to its audience?? A great one. A really, really great one. Huge kudos to Michael. Amazing energy! Such truth! And excellent sound mixing! See the show. Michael will help you find your self. GENTLY! But not always.... full review

This is the way storytelling should be. Michael has a way with words that is both casual and poetic, giving a lightness to a story with such emotional gravity. From the first inhale to the last exhale Michael leads you on, you truly feel like you are on his journey with him, and you never question why. His acting depth and commitment is quite impressive… and then there are those few moments of grounded smirky self-awareness, because he, too, knows how awesome the sound effects are. If you are a fan of human beings, you will be a fan of this show.... full review

Absolutely moving and exhilarating piece from actor Michael Kass. Satisfying story arc, comedy neatly and honestly peppered in, and altogether moving. Can't say enough how much the beautiful sound design transported us in this journey, allowing us to relive it with him. A solo show worth your time - storytelling at its finest. ... full review

This was a spellbinding and masterfully executed performance -- a delightful surprise because I have been almost universally disappointed by one-person shows, and have little patience for listening to drug stories. But the brutal vulnerability of the storyteller saved this show from the usual barrage of untethered narcissism and cringe-worthy oversharing that plague many others in its genre. (And it wasn't a drug story.) Instead, the show encourages the watcher's own healthy narcissism, as Michael invites us to participate in his emotional journey, and we confront our own lives, fears, hopes, and failures, and the moments that have defined us either in grief or joy. Ending on an honest note of "this is where I am, who I am," with a touch ... full review

Wow. This show was . . . perfect. Usually I have trouble listening to stories. Usually I am not listening to Michael Kass. His storytelling is so vivid that I feel like I swapped bodies with him and actually lived his experiences, and it was incredible. Not only did I laugh a lot, but I'm pretty sure I reached nirvana at one point. Hilarious, intelligent, imaginative, and deeply moving---Michael's performance resonates on every conceivable level. Go see this show, you will love it! And if anyone asks me if I've ever been to Peru, I will say yes, but vicariously. And then I'll tell this story. ... full review

I can't stop thinking about Ceremony. It was a journey that made me laugh and moved me all at the same time. Mike Kass was so raw and honest and inspiring. I felt like I had taken the journey with him and had my own therapy in the process. I want everyone to see this show. I am in awe of his story telling ability and humor. Finding humor in the darkest and oddest moments. Great show! ... full review

I can't stop thinking about the courage of the show. Courage to share such personal truths, courage to make this incredible journey to Peru only to go on the even MORE incredible journey of "tea-charged" soul-searching The show was moving, funny, thought-provoking, authentic - real truth-telling at it's best. GO!!!... full review
