DOG

Dog was fantastic. High energy. Almost slam poetry, but with a heartfelt, sad storyline. He made a character we’d all toss off immediately as an asshole and avoid straight away - he made that guy sympathetic, if not likable. Maybe we shouldn’t be so quick to judge people until we walk a mile in their one person show.... full review

The Toughest Man In Chicago

Just an absolute accomplishment. Mitch does a wonderful job telling gritty grimy stories through three characters for 90 minutes and it's engaging every moment. The video clips intermingle smoothly with his discussions. The production of this show is all around excellent. It's a top notch show that I recommend to anyone who happens to be a columnist for a Chicago paper in the 1970s. ... full review

BIG HAIR: A Rad and Wild Love Affair

This show is exactly why I love the Fringe Festival. How else would I find myself in the audience of such a gem. I’ve always loved Gilda Radner. I’ve always loved Gene Wilder. Now I also love this tiny performer who threw her huge heart into this incredible creative experience. Bravo Maegan Mandarino! Thank you for coming to the Hollywood Fringe Festival. You made me so happy to be here!... full review

Fifty Shades of Melania

One of the most enjoyable hours I spent at the festival this year was when I saw Liana’s creation. In a ubiquitous sea of mundane political lampooning and easy low-hanging Donald Trump bashing, this clever writer / performer dives far deeper in her exploration of the First Family than anything else I’ve seen out there. If they say, “Behind every great man is an even greater woman,” who, would they say, is behind an egomaniacal, halfwitted, selfish, spoiled, rapist manipulator asshat? Liana’s ch... full review

Stop reading the reviews. Click 'tickets' and buy a seat. It's the best money and time you will spend at this year's Fringe. Such a playful cast. Such a serious subject that was tackled with ridicule and tickle feathers. It's makes an important poignant statement, but care about that another day... this hour you will spend giggle. Please do not attempt to sip on any drinks or you will uncontrollably spit-take all over the poor folks in front of you.... full review

Livin' the Dream (a journalistic journey)

I've been reading Bob's ruminations about other artists for well over a decade, maybe two. I've learned over the years that when you see Bob Leggett in an audience, chances are there is something special about the show you're about to experience. He's always been fair, gently encouraging when necessary, and honest about his thoughts on the performances he reviews. But I've never known a thing about Bob himself, until now. And WOW! ..... this guy should have been writing the SONGS, not the rev... full review

Definitely recommend. The show was not what I expected and took a fun turn in the first scene - right when you think you what this show's gonna be, Stacy flips it on you. Suddenly, you're in for a well-engineered, super fun ride!... full review
