Great performances and a hilarious concept drive this comedy/satire to be much greater than the sum of its parts. The basic premise of an Edgar Allen Poe themed talk show becomes a very funny look at history seen through a modern lens and modern times seen through a historical lens. Hilarious, biting and poignant, this is the show I would force people to watch when they say there's no real theater in Los Angeles. The cast is exceptional and each character fully realized in this update of a beloved comic strip that includes a healthy dose of life lessons and good grief. The play painfully examines the paths our innocent childhood characters rushed down in the time we've been apart.
