BIRTHDAY

michael lutheran · June 29, 2019 uncertified reviewer
In the hustle of Fringe, BIRTHDAY offers such a personal and honest conversation about one man's experiences that have tested his resolve to keep going in search for that "larger than life" feeling we all get to experience so few times in our lives. And all of those events tend to coincide with past birthdays! One minute Ker has the audience roaring with laughter, and the next in hushed silence as we process his pain. ... full review

A Time Traveler's Guide to the Present

michael lutheran · June 29, 2019 certified reviewer
A TIME TRAVELER'S GUIDE TO THE PRESENT is a powerful example of how such a big idea, in the proper storyteller's hands, can feel deeply personal. This hands down has to be one of my favorite time-travel stories of all time, perhaps besting Back to The Future or Looper. Harvey's writing and acting is top notch, and with Elitzer's sharp direction, their work leaves you on the edge of your seat the entire time. ... full review

Moore brings baseball history to life, and don't worry he's got you covered on ALL the stats and facts, and he makes it EXCITING! Moore can be described as the Sherlock Holmes o... full review

Jake & The Angel

JAKE & THE ANGEL is a wonderful exploration of faith, life, guilt, and forgiveness. Caprita's script presents two well-developed characters (portrayed effortlessly by Caprita and Wingate) and pins these opposing forces on a beach and what happens is a hilarious and endearing 30 minutes. Fantastic direction by Matt Duggan. Beautifully done to all involved! ... full review

House of Rabbits - Charivari in Voyeurville

michael lutheran · June 17, 2015 certified reviewer
I knew very little when I walked into House of Rabbits' "CHARIVARI IN VOYEURVILLE" but I left bemoaning the fact that I couldn't live in this world of fantastical, highly expressionist, and dare I say attractive village of rocked out animals. As defined by the ever-knowing Wikipedia, Charivari is defined as: "The loud, public ritual evolved to a form of social coercion, for instance, to force an as-yet-unmarried couple to wed." This show is loud, breaking all boundaries of ritual and presents to ... full review
