Fringe Awards Ceremony 2013

Retraction & Apology. I am removing my original review, as I apparently offended people by offering my honest opinion about the awards ceremony, which was just "not my thing". I still believe that the inclusion of information about some of the productions not nominated, or highlights of what made this particular festival unique(beyond the huge number of entries) might have been a nice touch and of interest to the audience. What fun! If you are not musical theater buff, you might miss some of the references, but for me it was perfect. Witty dialogue and lyrics had me laughing out loud throughout the performance. The cast was young, talented and had enough energy burning to light up Hollywood Blvd. The show probably ran about 10-15 minutes too long as they really did not seem to know how to end it. . . but that was kind of the point too.... full review

The peformance had me laughing, crying and sympa... full review

Cocktails was a pleasant way to while away some time on a Saturday afternoon. Although the pacing was a bit off, there were many clever, laugh-out-loud moments in this extended improv. Good job!... full review

Interesting concept. The three actors were very good and committed to their characters. I particularly liked Lizzie Adelman. I also liked the production quality of the show, lighting, set and musical transitions. The pacing might have been faster in places, but other than that, it was a good, thought provoking show.... full review

Vivaldi's Winter

Vivaldi's Winter is booked as a "pay what you can" production, so I was not sure what to expect. What you get are three very interesting, but unrelated scenes. Both Ashley Victoria Robinson and JP Rapozo were very good in their individual monologues. ... full review
