Love Me Richie!

"You got me at '1945'"! I, too, love period pieces, so I was very happy with this story taking place during that time and exploring themes in a way that we don't often see (mental illness and the African-American perspective or voice on Patriotism). I would love to see more from this story, it's characters and it's journey. I left the theater with a lot of questions that kept me thinking about the play long after I left. I was enchanted with the mystery of it, with the questions of "what i... full review

I Never Met A Jerk I Didn't Like

Ms. Tiffany is a friend and I have to disclose that! There are so many lovely reviews here and she is deserving of all of them. For those of us who are her friends, this has been an exciting reveal of her talent. This performance does take you on a journey and it is great to see Tiffany so grounded in her characters to the point where she disappears. I've seen the show twice (both previews), so not having seen the later shows during this run, I'll say that as she continues to master this sh... full review

(no static at all)

Alex catches and holds you in a magical game of cats cradle with his one man play, "No Static At All". I was mesmerized with his storytelling and thoroughly enjoyed feeling like, "this guy knows what he's doing"...and not caring that he knows...because he's doing it so well. Another reviewer mentioned something about seeing more vulnerability, and I could agree; saying this selfishly, of course, because being able to see even more of Alex would be delish. Lovely!... full review

Aesopera

After experiencing "AEsopera", I walked out of the theater smiling and feeling like, "This is what Fringe is about!" Elyse Cook and I were promoting our shows on Facebook and reached out to one another for comp exchanges, and I'm so thrilled we both followed up and made it happen! This was my first introduction to live Opera (as opposed to programs on PBS) and I'm quite happy for the experience. I'll admit my Opera ears took a bit to warm up, so I was lost in the first piece, The Lion & The W... full review

KEENA: UNBRANDED The Solo Experience

Does it matter that I've known Keena for several years and have worked with her professionally? Yes. When artists take a risk, such as Keena Ferguson has done with her one-woman show debut, "Keena: Unbranded", it's important to take note. It's even more important to do so when it is a friend. Ms. Ferguson covertly brands herself as a woman, as an actor, who still believes in Fairy Tales. She explains this through several courageously acted characters and vignettes, well-directed by the t... full review
