A naïve college girl goes on a missions trip to Africa to save the world one African at a time, only to discover her faith is no match for the heartbreaking reality of poverty, HIV/AIDS, and myriad crises of the post-apartheid era. A quick-witted, snarky and heartfelt comedy performed by none other than the world’s worst missionary.
With Tina Fey-style dry sarcasm, Ms. Alfinito offers a refreshing, honest look at what happens when one’s spiritual journey runs head-on into insoluble issues like racism, poverty and disease.
