What I liked
The raw honesty of this piece is so rare. And so pure. It rings true to the heart of it.
At one moment I was watching a performance… then suddenly I was in it. And it was in me. The original music & dance is so intertwined in the pain … the emotion… the STRENGTH! Each builds on the other in such unexpected ways that when Em finally explodes with what she wants to say — chills took over.
We as the audience couldn’t help but be brought to our feet. Even after I left in silence — not yet being able to speak after what I had experienced — even then, I found myself pulling over to the side of the road to just breathe.
The layers that Em brings in bravely exposing herself & her heart-wrenching journey are just — beyond — just — WOW!!!
As a fellow survivor, I am soo sorry for the horrors you experienced,. And yet so grateful for the beauty & power you have brought to life through the tragedy. This piece can change lives. Thank you…
