American Noise is a one-act play with video, music, and awkwardness that tells the story of John Loke, a shock jock who has fallen from grace with his employer, landlord, and girlfriend. John Loke has until 3:00 AM to find a job, convince his landlord not to evict him, and win back the love of his life. This is impeded wildly by his inability to self edit, his terrible negotiation skills, and—well, she was way to good for him. John’s spent most of his life selling corporate lies and huckstering for conservative causes he didn’t believe in. One day, he called BS on his own life. And that’s how the trouble begins.
