This solo performance consists of several personal stories that span different geographic locations and across several decades. I will first explore how my parents’ arranged marriage reflects the traditional construct of womanhood and conception of love in my homeland of Taiwan. I will then explore how my family dynamics as well as the racial/gender/sexual politics of this country shape the way I experience love and relationships as an Asian woman in this country. This solo asks pertinent questions about gender oppression and feminism across borders.
