What I liked

Janet Miller has again directed a great Fringe show, this one featuring Linden Waddell with accompanist Marjorie Poe, who are totally entertaining as a team, presenting the songs on Allan Sherman, known to those of us in the 60’s as a brilliant parody writer. We had a ball singing along with her.

What I didn't like

Wish the show had been a bit longer to include more of his songs!

My overall impression

I really enjoyed “Hello Again: The Songs of Allan Sherman” at the Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre. For those not around in the 60’s, he was a brilliant song parody writer and Linden Waddell not only is a great singer but expertly shared the humor to a tee in every single song! And like Linden, you don’t need to be Jewish to appreciate all the humor from “We Ain’t Got Lox” to “Chopped Liver” to “Harvey and Shirley” to the tune of Hava Negila, get ready to sit back and laugh to the songwriting talent that was Allan Sherman! And what memories when Linden brought out all those books of Green Stamps!
