This is a very different style of show, and it took some ambition to not go a more traditional route and simply present monologues. When the show opened, I was not quite sure what to expect, but by the end, I truly felt like I had come along on a journey with the cast.... full review

It was a beautiful and unique production. It was poetry in motion unlike anything I've seen before. Each cast member had a story to tell and it wasn't any story it was their own. A wonderful work of non-fiction assembled together to create a whole play with very heartfelt stories. ... full review

I felt as if I were witnessing something private. The way the thoughts, experiences of the cast were intertwined with one another was like listening to music. I kept watching and listening not sure what would be the outcome. Kept me wondering till the end and then afterwards.... full review

Got a Minute is truly beautiful. It's incredibly honest and real and it touched me to the very fiber of my being. I laughed. I cried. I related. And I am so very appreciative to have had the chance to hear these moving stories. They were woven together masterfully and delivered so beautifully. I couldn't help but be invested in each and every one of them. It's very courageous to get on stage and bare your soul. Thanks for sharing! ... full review

I'm always skeptical when it comes to unpublished plays- but I was completely blown away by this show. The true life stories that these actors so bravely share were incredibly touching (I teared up several times and laughed a lot too). It was a wonderful experience to get to hear what matters most to fourteen strangers and what/who has impacted their lives so greatly. It puts a lot into perspective for the audience member and reminds you that no matter what path a person has walked in this life, everyone has their struggles and battles, happiness and beauty. Though our stories may not be the same we can always relate on those grounds. It truly was a wonderful show. ... full review

Fundamentally this lets individuals tell important life stories in a kind of rotating reader's theatre. At its best the result are flashes of healing, insight and melancholy truths. ... full review

Thank God I had a minute! Located on theatre row in the small but cozy New Collective theatre, the Lake Arrowhead Repertory Theatre Company or simply LARTC was the recipient of several Hollywood Fringe Festival encore performance selections. If any of their other shows tug at ones emotions like this play; “Got a minute?” then LARTC has done something magical with their actors and the stories they wish tell. Incredibly detailed and almost intrusively private, “Got a minute” takes 14 actor’s personal monologues and splits them up to create a show unlike anything you have probably seen. Labeled as a “spoken opera” each characters private monologue is broken up every few lines to introduce or tell a new story from a new actor. Each perspec... full review
