Incredible experience from start to finish. The venue is cozy, the set is meaningful, the writing layered and poignant, and the acting was superb! The subject matter (homelessness) taken from the vantage point of women was touching and expertly done. Nancy Youngblut delves into the psychosis of a lost soul with abandon and humor, and she drives the story forward with exuberance and unpredictability. Jennifer Laks, playing the social worker attempting to assist this waylaid woman, grounds the piece with honesty and compassion, and just enough chutzpah so we never doubt her resolve or profession; she deftly toggles our emotions and we never see it coming. Highly recommend going to see this as soon as possible, and bring tissues. The tears will... full review

This was such a smart and well-written show, with great dialogue and a few terrific twists. It was seriously entertaining -- and original, too. I loved how the writer, Leda Siskind, ever-so-cleverly sprinkled in some smart quotations from George Bernard Shaw. Nancy Youngblut was brilliant in a difficult role, and Jennifer Lee Laks was great, playing a social worker. ... full review

The Liar's Punishment pulls us in from the first moment and doesn't let go. In fact, I'm still taking it in a day later, it was that powerful. The acting and directing were superb, the dialogue sharp, believable and at times, funny. Kudos to all!... full review

I enjoyed this play, as it is timely and relevant to those who live in the city and see homeless people every day. Each one is a person with a story and a history; a family and a past. We don't know everyone's story , but we often make judgments about that we do not know.... full review

I thoroughy enjoyed the poignant, funny, authentic portrayal of 2 people. I felt as though I were witnessing an actual event between individuals who were struggling with the life they were living. The actors are amazing. The writer/director produced a play that stays with you long after the curtains close.... full review
